First things first: I love food and I love beer.
I’m an accredited Beer Sommelier and I’ve worked in events and marketing roles with some of London’s biggest craft breweries. As a freelance content marketing consultant, I prefer to work with small businesses. That’s because I enjoy delivering authentic messages and stories to audiences.
Plus there’s nothing like the infectious energy and passion of entrepreneurs in the food and drinks industries.
My credentials (the boring stuff)
I have a First Class honours degree in English Literature and a law degree (don’t ask). I grew up in Canada, but have worked in marketing roles since moving to London over a decade ago. Writing has always been a passion of mine, from the days of keeping a LiveJournal in high school to writing about craft beer on my blog, Brewing East.
I’ve written for EasyJet Traveller magazine and Time Out London. I’ve been nominated for a number of awards for my blog, including Beer Citizen Communicator in 2017 and Best Young Beer Writer in 2018 by the British Guild of Beer Writers.
Although the craft beer and drinks industry are my specialism, I also have experience working in-house in B2B marketing. I’ve written about anything from procurement to sustainable business practices.
So I’m versatile and enjoy creating copy that engages my reader.
I’m experienced in digital marketing, including generating high-quality content for, and monitoring, social media accounts. I’m happy to audit existing social accounts and make recommendations on how to grow your followers, increase engagement and use each platform effectively.
